Mondays:

Fairytale Theater Series (Grades K – 4)

Offered in Fall and Winter Seasons only.

Join us for our Fairytale Theater acting group. Each season we will perform a 30 minute production of a beloved fairytale with just our littlest thespians to be performed on the Town Hall Stage. Students will all receive a speaking role they can be successful with based on our initial first class. No auditions for this program. Guaranteed to bring a smile to any young performers face. Students will also be subject to a nominal costume fee and supplying own undergarments TBD during rehearsals.

Tuesdays or Thursdays:

Kids Musical (a condensed version for kids of the spring musical selected at the Academy) (Grades K – 4)

Offered in our Late Spring Curtain Call Season only.

This once-a-week program gives young actors in grades K – 4 who may be new to the stage an opportunity to perform in their own 40 minute Musical Production in a more intimate setting casting only students grades K thru 4. No audition necessary for this group.

Tuesdays or Thursdays:

Junior Thespians (Tuesday or Thursday) (Grades 2/3)

Great for young emerging performers in grades 2 & 3. Students will receive ensemble roles in Act I as part of the larger cast, learning at least 2 dance numbers and working on 1 scene  to participate in with the larger cast, culminating in a full mainstage performance at the Clinton Town Hall. No audition necessary for this level.

Beginner/Intermediate Thespians (Tuesday or Thursday) (Grades 4+)

Fantastic instruction for young emerging performers in grades 4 and up culminating in a full mainstage performance at the Clinton Town Hall. Audition Required. Everyone will receive a role regardless of experience with acting.  Contact kidzkonnectionct@gmail.com to reserve an audition.

Wednesdays:

Tap/Jazz Combo for the Tween & Teen Beginner (Grades 5 and up)

A traditional 6-week class for students looking to improve their dance skills. Many young people discover theater over time and once bit by the bug realize they are missing essential dance skills to get top roles in high school theater or professionally.  This class is designed to teach the older actor the critical basics to tap dancing in an age-friendly environment.  This high energy, full of fun moves class will have you tapping with confidence at auditions in no time!

Ballet Contemporary Fusion Intensive (Grades 5 and up)

This Ballet focused class will explore ballet technique and form while  diving into different ways of combining modern, contemporary and ballet vocabularies into a challenging but fun combination. It shows each dancer how to keep the integrity of their technique while utilizing it in the most effective way possible. The class also explores ways to increase one’s artistic capacity through inspiration by movement, music, and philosophy.

The class is recommended for any beginning/intermediate or advanced dancer

Little Play Makers (grades K – 3)

A fun drama class designed specifically for children who are in grades K – 3. Children learn to use their imaginations in a fun and cooperative environment to encourage kindness and positive social skills while discovering a love for the performing arts.

Junior Madcappers (grades 4 – 6)

This once-a-week drama class for students in grades 4 – 6 incorporates improvisation games and drama activities into a fun and cooperative experience. A perfect class for any child interested in exploring the performing arts in a free, imaginative setting.

SUMMER:

Fairytale Storytelling Series (grades 1 – 4)

Half Day weekly storytelling programs for grades 1 thru 4 that run each week during the summer beginning July 8 through August 16. 1:00pm matinee performance for friends/family every Friday following the week program.

These week long plays just for kids in grades 1 thru 4 are the perfect summer activity to keep kids laughing and having fun while learning to perform a fairytale story for friends and family at the end of each week session. Select one week that interests your child or try more.

Junior Musicals & Teen Edition Musicals (Grades 5+)

This half day 2 week intensive musical theater program for young performers from grade 5 and up offers the perfect option to allow youth a chance to unwind and relax during the summer but also have a fun and exciting activity to fill the long summer days.  This program requires an audition held in June to prepare for the 2 week musical registered. Every child receives a role.
