For the Little Entertainer
Friday Night Live Kidz (Grades K-3)
This once-a-week improvisation class is perfect for the ham of your house who loves to create original material and imagine freely. In this 8 week class, kids play plenty of fun drama games and activities to explore creativity while developing an original skit to perform for family and friends.
Fridays 4:30-5:15pm. Tuition: $169.00
Tiny Thespians (Grades K+)
This once-a-week class gives young actors who may be new to the stage an opportunity to perform in our Fall Mainstage Production in a more intimate setting. Students will be given two full scenes within the show that they work on during class time. They perform their scenes during the performance of the Fall Show and participate in all full cast activities including tech week.
Thursdays 4:00-4:45pm. Tuition: $89.00/ month
Junior Thespians (Grades 2-3)
This is for children in 2nd and 3rd grade looking to participate in the Fall Main Stage Production. One step up from Tiny Thespians and allows children to be in the general cast of the Main Stage Production. This option is for students who are ready to commit to the full responsibilities and schedule of a Main Stage Production. Children must audition for the production. This age group will not be considered for principle roles, are not guaranteed speaking roles, and will primarily be a part of the general ensemble of the show. For the Motivated Actor
Taptastic Tapping (Grades 3-6)
Its time to get your happy feet going and get your rhythm rumbling. Tap has become an essential skill for all theater performers. In this class Ms. Maria will take you through the basics of tap, teach a new step and new combo each class. No matter if you are a beginner who is eager to learn or an experienced tapper who wants to brush up on their steps, this class is going to be a fun time for all.
Tuesdays, 5:00-5:45. Tuition: $169.00
Musical Theater, Dance & Acro (Grades 3-6)
Musicals have evolved through the years from just Waltz to a fast paced, modern dance and stunting world. In this class Ms. Maria will teach dance combos inspired by some our more modern musicals and incorporate basic acro tumbling skills that will the students will build on. Ms. Maria is a USA Gymnastics certified gymnastics coach, who has is very experienced in coaching tumbling. Classes will begin with a warm up, new skill(s) of the week and end with a dance combo. The performers that see you in musicals like Bring it On, Lion King, and Billy Elliot had to start somewhere. Why don’t you start with us?

This Saturday Night Live-esque class is perfect for every class clown or budding actor looking to gain more confidence. Students work separately and together to develop comic skits and routines appropriate for each age level. Great for any performer interested in stand-up comedy or improvisational acting.

Television Trio Class Series:
NOTE: The following three classes may be taken individually, but work best when taken one after another as a set of three.
Intro to Acting for Film/ Television (Grades 4-8)
A four-week intensive for students wanting to learn the basics of acting for television. Do you want to be on the big screen? Acting for a camera requires different skills and techniques than acting on stage in live theater. If you or your child wants to start learning how to act for film and television this is the class for you! This first session starts on January 6th and runs 4 weeks until January 27th. This class serves as a prerequisite for the next class in this series: How to Deliver a Scene on TV. This class is a part of the Teleivion Trio Class Series.
Saturdays 11:00-12:00. Tuition: $89.00
How to Deliver a Scene on TV (Grades 4-8)
A four-week intensive for students looking to dive further into scene work for television. This class provides in-depth direction on specific scenes chosen to challenge students with certain techniques. This class works best when taken after the prerequisite above: Intro to Acting for Film/ Television. This second session starts February 10th and runs 4 weeks until March 3rd. This class is a part of the Television Trio Class Series.
Saturdays 11:00-12:00. Tuition: $89.00
Creating a Reel (Grades 4-8)
A four-week intensive for students aspiring to create a professional reel for a potential career in film/ TV performance. This class provides students with the skills necessary to understand how to put together a reel, continue to build their strengths, and work through their weaknesses within the context of acting for television. This class works best when taken after the prerequisites above: Intro to Acting for Film/ Television and How to Deliver a Scene on TV. This third session starts March 24th and runs 4 weeks until April 14th. This class is a part of the Television Trio Class Series.

Physical Theater Duo Class Series:
The following two classes are a part of the Physical Theater Duo Class Series. This series will provide students with opportunities to explore various aspects of physical theater through different lenses. This two classes work best when taken one after another, but may be taken as stand-alone intensive workshops.
Fight Choreo (Grades 4+)
A four-week intensive for students looking to learn or improve their ability to perform choreographed fights on stage. In this class, students will learn the basics of physical stage-fighting using fake weapons and their bodies. Students will explore everything from slap-stick humor to fully choreographed sword-fights. This class starts Monday, January 8th and runs four weeks until Monday, January 29th. This class is a part of the Physical Theater Duo Class Series.
Mondays 6:30-8:00pm. Tuition: $125.00
Intro to Shakespeare and Commedia Dell’arte (Grades 4+)
A four-week intensive for students looking learn about physical theater within the context of Shakespeare and other classic literature. Students will explore mask work, learn about the physical traits of traditional caricatures in various plays, and understand how these plays are portrayed to modern audiences. This class is a perfect follow-up to the Fight Choreo class listed above, but may be taken as a stand-alone workshop. This class starts Monday, February 5th and runs four weeks until Monday, March 12th. This class is a part of the Physical Theater Duo Class Series.

For the Advanced Thespian
Tap/Jazz Combo for the Teen Beginner (Grades 5+)
A traditional 8-week class for students looking to improve their dance skills. Many young people discover theater over time and once bit by the bug realize they are missing essential dance skills to get top roles in high school theater or professionally. This class is designed to teach the older actor the critical basics to tap dancing in an age-friendly environment. This high energy, full of fun moves class will have you tapping with confidence at auditions in no time!
Tuesdays 7:00 – 7:45pm. Tuition: $169.00

Advanced Acting Techniques (Grades 6+)
A traditional 8-week class for students hoping to gain skills in more serious acting techniques. The perfect class for the young performer looking for a deeper experience. Exposure to the most commonly-taught acting techniques helps develop more believable characters. This class is highly recommended for students hoping to go into theater professionally someday. This is also a friendly environment to prepare for auditions. This class is a part of the Advanced Acting Trio Class Series.

Character Development (Grades 6+)
A traditional 8-week class for any student hoping to gain larger roles in their community or school theater. A perfect compliment to the Advanced Acting Techniques class! This class allows students to dive deeper into the world of character development and explore various types of characters throughout all of theater’s history. Students will explore monologues and scenes to work on embodying characters from a range of plays including classic works, historical literature, and even including more contemporary playwrights. This class is a part of the Advanced Acting Trio Class Series.

Friday Night Live Teens (Grades 6+)
A traditional 8-week class for older students looking for an opportunity to study more serious improvisational techniques without sacrificing the more fun and creative aspects of improv and comedy. 2017 Annual Graveyard Walk (Grades 6+)
Every year, the professional actors in our Shoreline Actors Collective branch of Kidz Konnection perform a number of eerie historical scenes at the Clinton Graveyard. Please contact us to be involved in this program.
